Extend a stay, swap a city, slow a morning: your itinerary is built from your interests, pace and dates, and only confirmed when it fits.

What travellers say
Scroll ›The climb from Shanghai to Lhasa is the point — and it is paced perfectly. Permits, a guide who lives there, and two quiet days to adjust before anything strenuous.
Honestly I was nervous about the altitude. Our guide kept the first two days so slow it felt daft, and then we were fine. Worth it just for how calm the whole thing stayed.
Chengdu was my favourite, which surprised me — pandas are fine, but the tea houses and the hotpot were the trip. Lhasa felt like a different country altogether.
Three weeks is a long time and it never dragged. The train days were part of it, watching the land change. My wife cried at Yamdrok Lake.
Zhangjiajie in mist, then the plateau. Our coordinator moved the Lhasa flight when the weather turned, without us asking.
